Sushanta meets brother

Calcutta, Sept. 10: CPM leader Sushanta Ghosh, the prime accused in the 2002 Keshpur multiple murder case, today visited brother Prashanta, who was arrested in Puri this Friday in connection with the same case.

CID sources said Sushanta, now on interim bail, spoke to his younger brother for about 10 minutes inside the prison.

Later, Sushanta told newspersons: “My brother has nothing to do with politics. This vindictive government tried to force it on him because he is my brother. He is already nursing a foot injury and the government should have taken care of his physical injury rather than accusing him in murder cases.”

After Sushanta’s visit, Prashanta was taken to SSKM Hospital for a check-up. Prashanta was injured in the Puri hotel when he fell down from the stairs while running away from police .

Sushanta was arrested in August last year and got bail this February.
