Ranchi, Sept. 8: Chief minister Arjun Munda today directed bureaucrats to make government schemes more pro-people and ensure transparent implementation so that the public could reap the benefits in a trouble-free manner.
Munda said this while reviewing projects being executed by the state agriculture, cooperative, welfare, transport and tribal welfare departments in a marathon meeting at Sri Krishna Sinha Institute of Public Administration.
The chief minister directed state transport department authorities, including principal secretary K.K. Khandelwal, to ensure that work on setting up nine inter-state integrated checkposts to stop pilferage of revenue was completed at the earliest.
The project has been hanging in balance for the last five years due to myriad issues, including land acquisition.
Munda also wanted the process of issuing permits and registrations of vehicles to be made online.
On the slow progress of six railway projects in the state, Munda instructed the authorities to ensure that they were completed on time. The projects include the Koderma-Hazaribagh-Barkakana-Ranchi and Koderma-Giridih railway routes.
