Calcutta, Sept. 8: A Class X student has alleged that two youths drugged and abducted her from Bhowanipore and molested her in a taxi on their way to Salt Lake’s City Centre this evening.
The girl, a resident of Howrah’s Salkia, told police she had accompanied her mother to a homoeopath’s chamber at Chakraberia Road.
The girl said in the complaint that she had gone to a shop outside the chamber when the two youths in a taxi stopped in front of her and allegedly sprayed something, following which she lost consciousness.
According to the FIR filed at Bhowanipore police station, the girl was molested in the taxi. The girl said that when she regained consciousness, she found herself in front of City Centre.
She told the police she saw a man there whom she knew. The girl said in the complaint that she then took another taxi and returned to the doctor’s chamber. It is not clear from the complaint what happened in between.
The girl and her mother then went to the police station and lodged the FIR.
The youths have been charged with outraging the modesty of a woman, criminal intimidation and abduction.
