Nagaon, Sept. 5: Hosts Nivar Club defeated Bangsodao Memorial Football Club 4-1 in a first round match of 8th Chief Executive Member Cup football tournament organised by Dima Hasao district sports association at N.L. Daulogupu sports complex in Haflong today.
In the 21st minute Nivar midfielder James Hrangchal scored the first goal. Bangsodao player Domsang Purulte came back with the equaliser in the 25th minute. Hrangchal scored the second goal for Nivar in the 58th minute.
Nivar substitute Linton scored the third and fourth goals in the 68th and 71st minutes.
Bangsodao goalkeeper Sanjish Hojai was seriously injured in an attempt to save a hit by Linton of Nivar.
Pangmol Youth Club will meet United Council Youth Club in a second round match tomorrow.
