The Central Reserve Police Force on Wednesday distributed sports gear among students of Kasturba Gandhi Residential School at Samdha Hathiya in the Haveli Kharghpur sub-division of Munger district.
Organised to celebrate Teachers’ Day, the event was a part of the civic action programme of the CRPF 131st battalion, initiated to counter Naxalite influence. More than 1,000 villagers also got a free medical check up. “We can fight the rebels only with help of the people,” said Dr Rakesh Kumar of the battalion.
