Patna University vice-chancellor Shambhu Nath Singh on Monday urged Magadh Mahila College students to be committed to their work for success like entrepreneurs Kiran Majumdar Shaw and Shahnaz Hussain.
“Kiran Mazumdar Shaw (chairperson and managing director of Biocon Limited), Chanda Kochhar (CEO of ICICI Bank), Shahnaz Hussain (CEO of Shahnaz Herbals) are role models for women. I would urge students to have ambition and reach your goal with hard work and dedication.”
Singh was addressing around 300 students at the inaugural of six-day entrepreneurship development programme on the college campus. The event was organised by the institute’s bachelor of business administration department in collaboration with the Bihar Industries Association.
He also advised the college authorities to invite experts from industry bodies like Confederation of Indian Industry to guide the students on entrepreneurship.
KPS Keshri, the Bihar Industries Association president, stressed on leadership and said the best thing about entrepreneurship was the ability to provide jobs to people rather than seeking jobs.
