Imphal, Aug. 31: Kuki Sporting Association edged past Tiddim Road Athletic Union by 2-1 goals in the 7th Manipur State League at Mapal Kangjeibung.
Kuki Sporting Club opened its account in the 36th minute with Lalneidik Hmar connecting a header home for the lead.
The Tiddim Road team scored their only goal in the 40th minute with L. Chandramani Singh doing the trick with a long throw which scratched the fingertip of Kuki keeper Hmangte Damkhupreng and floated in to the net.
Kuki Sporting Club consolidated its position further with Bony Liano’s goal in the 53rd minute for the victory today. Kuki players Lamkholen Haokip, G. Hausonpau, Sehminthang Kipgen and Tiddim Road player M. Manglembagot a yellow card in the match.United Sporting Association will take on Manipur Police Sports Club tomorrow at 1.30pm.
