Calcutta, Aug. 31: Shipping infrastructure firm ABG-LDA’s meeting with chairman of Calcutta Port Trust and other senior officials remained inconclusive today with the company threatening to suspend operations at two mechanised berths at Haldia. The joint venture between Mumbai’s ABG Shipyard and French LDA is demanding more cargo-handling at these two berths from CPT, which is yet to give in to the demand.
Jet fuel
New Delhi, Aug. 31: Jet fuel, or ATF, price was today hiked 7.6 per cent, the biggest increase that took ATF price to an all-time high of Rs 72,282 per kilolitre (kl). The price of jet fuel in Delhi was hiked by Rs 5,146.16 per kl, or 7.6 per cent, to Rs 72,281.92 per kl with effect from midnight tonight, Indian Oil Corporation said.
Tax rules
New Delhi, Aug. 31: The government today announced advance pricing agreement rules allowing MNCs to ascertain in advance their taxation liability in relation to cross-border deals within group entities.
