NHPC invitation
Guwahati, Aug. 26: The NHPC has invited AASU and 26 other organisations for discussions to break the stalemate on execution of the Lower Subansiri hydel-power project at Gerukamukh in Dhemaji district, a press communiqué issued by AASU on Sunday stated.

Nagaon: Nagaon police arrested Rajib Banik on Sunday from the Majarati area under Sadar police station. He was allegedly involved in a series of unlawful activities in the state for a long time.
