Duo in fake licence net

Dwo men, Tafajjal Haq and Patal Sarkar, were arrested on Sunday on the charge of possessing and selling fake driving licences. Police seized 80 fake licences from Sarkar’s house at Netaji Nagar, near the airport.

Missing: Sohini Pal, a Class XII student and resident of Birati, has been missing since August 13. Her father has lodged a complaint with Nimta police station.

Civic notice: Bidhannagar Municipality has issued a demolition notice for two “unsafe” buildings in Sukantanagar. Parts of AH114 and AH115 were damaged last month. “A probe revealed the buildings were leaning against each other and had been built without the civic authorities’ permission,” said an official.
