Imphal, Aug. 17: Dimapur Road Athletic Organisation edged past Youth Development Organisation by 3-2 goals in the Imphal West Super Division Football League Tournament at Thangmeiband Athletic Union ground today.
Dimapur stole a quick goal with Sh. Rabindra scoring in the first minute. He scored again in the 16th minute.
Youth regrouped with Deepak Singh striking home his team’s first goal in the 50th minute.
Dimapur Road made further inroads with Sh. Rabindra scoring in the 53rd minute to bring up his hattrick. Deepak Singh scored again for Youth in the 57th minute.
Dimapur have collected eight points while Youth Development are with six points.
In another match, Sagolband United beat Indo Burma Sporting Association by 3-1 goals with Mathingmei scoring two goals while A. Nanao fetching a goal. The only goal for Indo Burma was scored by Kritivas.
Imphal East First Division: North Eastern Sporting Union beat Super Sporting Club 2-1 at Khuman Lampak sports complex. David and Jojo scored for North Eastern while Yarsok fetched the lone goal for Super Sporting Club.
The other match saw Citizen Club hold United Progressive Adult Association 1-1 with Kiran Singh hitting the net for United Progressive while L. Kiran Singh fetched the equaliser for Citizen Club.
