Airport runway report
Patna: The joint team of Directorate General of Civil Aviation and Airports Authority of India (AAI), which inspected the ground realities of Patna airport on Wednesday and Thursday, would submit its report to competent authorities in Delhi on Monday, an AAI source said on Friday.
he source added that any decision regarding change in notification, which talked about reducing the runway length of Patna airport, issued earlier by the AAI, would be taken by the competent authorities only after going through the report.
CBSE date
Patna: The last date of registration for the board examination (for CBSE students of classes IX and XI) is September 15. With the late fee, the last date of registration is October 30.
One killed
Chhapra: One Pintu Kumar was killed on Friday morning by a sharp-edged weapon at Bara Telpa Nai Basti under Chhapra town police station. Sub-divisional police officer Ravindra Kumar said Pintu’s brother Shilanath had lodged an FIR alleging that Laxmi Kant, along with Vinay Pathak, Srinath Pathak, Vijay Pathak, Srinath’s wife Gita Pathak killed Pintu. According to the FIR, Pintu had lent Rs 50,000 to Laxmi Kant Ojha a few days back. On Friday, he had gone to take back the money. A dispute ensued in which Pintu was killed. One of the accused Vinay Kumar Pathak surrendered before the police.

Chhapra: Thirty railway crossings on Chhapra-Thawe rail route under eastern railway would be upgraded at a cost of Rs 78.19 lakh, Banaras division public relations officer Ashok Kumar said.
Youths in net
Patna: Three youths were arrested on Thursday night while attempting to outrage the modesty of a 22-year-old woman at Dehri in Rohtas. The three, identified as Pappu Kumar Yadav, Abhishek Singh and Zafar Ali, were produced before Dehri sub-divisional court, which remanded them in judicial custody for 14 days.
Fake currency
Araria: Five persons were arrested on the charge of allegedly duping people by providing them counterfeit Indian currency notes. Police seized printing machines and other material.
