Patna, Aug. 10: RJD leader and former Union minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh and party secretary general Ram Kripal Yadav today accused chief minister Nitish Kumar’s government of failing to improve the education and health sectors.
Addressing the media at the RJD office in the state capital, Singh said: “The health sector is on the verge of collapse. Facilities at the state’s hospitals are in bad shape due to the government’s ignorance. Doctors are never found in hospitals. There is an acute shortage of doctors. Patients sleep on the floor at Patna Medical College and Hospital.”
He added: “The education system faces similar fate. There are no teachers and classrooms. Of 27,000 middle schools, there are no teachers in over 22,000.”
