Imphal, Aug. 8: Dimapur Road Athletic Organisation beat Thangmeiband Athletic Union by a solitary goal in the Imphal West Super Division Football League Tournament at THAU ground.
Dimapur Road dominated the game but lacked direction, missing several opportunities in the first half.
They opened their account as late as in the 79th minute as H. Anil Singh executed a free kick for the only and deciding goal. Haokam Killong of Dimapur Road Athletic Union and H. Romen Singh, Augustion of Thangmeiband Athletic Union got a yellow card each. In the Imphal West first division league match, Birchandra Memorial Sporting Club got the better of CRPF Group Centre Lanjing by 2-1 goals. Kh. Amarjit Singh struck the opening goal for Birchandra Memorial Sporting Club in the 15th minute and he later consolidated with another goal in the 33rd minute for the two-goal leap.
The CRPF side got their only goal as Birchandra Memorial player Th. Noren Singh conceded an own goal to CRPF kitty in the 57th minute. Kh. Nupajao Singh of CRPF got a yellow card.

AIFF: The AIFF had invited three referees, Ph. Lanthoiba Singh, Rinkahao Vasum and Sapam Kenedy Singh, to attend Assistant Referees’ Training to be held at Chennai from October 2-4.
