Body found
Nalbari, Aug. 8: The body of a youth was recovered today at Rangia in Kamrup (rural) district by police. The body has not been identified yet.
Flood victims
Dibrugarh: The Dadai unit of KMSS on Wednesday apprised the press of the pitiable condition of about 3,000 people displaced because of heavy erosion and floods at Dadai Laika here.
Inauguration
Jorhat: Chief minister Tarun Gogoi announced that the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital would be developed into a post-graduate institute and research centre while inaugurating the magnetic resonance imaging machine at JMCH here on Wednesday.

Demise
Jorhat: Former sportsperson, organiser and former president of All Assam Volleyball Association, Tarun Sabhapandit, died here on Tuesday. He was 93.
Man injured
Nalbari: Jinti Rajbangshi, 25, of Khukhundi here was severely injured in a group clash on Tuesday night. He has been admitted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
