Tendulkar at No. 12

Dubai: Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan are the highest-ranked Indian players in the latest ICC Test batsmen and bowlers list, which was issued on Tuesday, with both occupying the 12th spot. Meanwhile, Englandís Kevin Pietersen has climbed seven places to be placed at 10th.

Australia camp

Calcutta: Eight spinners have been called up to take part in Australiaís pre-season camp, which is scheduled to start at Darwin from Wednesday, ahead of trips to the UAE, Sri Lanka and India over the coming year.

Victory for Diptayan

Athens: International Master Debashish Das staged a fine recovery to beat higher ranked Yilmaz Mustafa of Turkey in the fifth round of World Junior Chess Championship here on Tuesday. Diptayan Ghosh had it easy against Brazilian Caetano Hugo Zanotti Mendonca.
