Shisha Reincarnated hosted a fashion show — Style Lounge 2012 — on Sunday evening. Hosted by Opus Pvt Ltd, it presented the talent of Opus design students, all aspiring to be part of NIFT and NID. Budding lawyers too sizzled on the runway in the creations of designers-to-be. The month-long effort of the designers bore fruit in eight highly innovative collections. The winning team was Tredecim represented by designer Samiksha Dhandhania and model Swasti Shah (left). Samiksha had created the classic black sari with golden border that Swasti strutted on the ramp. “I was inspired by the 1970s era of Mumtaz’s collection of saris from the movie Brahmachari,” revealed Samiksha. The other collections to wow the crowds were ‘The Dark Knight’ (centre), paying homage to the victims of the Colorado shootout, and ‘Love Remake’ (right). Pictures by Pabitra Das
