Men found dead

Ara: Police on Monday recovered bodies of two senior citizens near the Ara-Sasaram railway track at Shrirampur in Bhojpur district.

The deceased have been identified as Ramadhar Yadav and Ramvinay Yadav. The police said the duo had died after being assaulted by criminals. An FIR has been lodged against unknown persons.

Techie jobs

Patna: Water resources minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Monday gave appointment letters to 269 newly appointed junior engineers (civil) at the conference hall of Water and Land Management Institute in Walmi, Phulwarisharif. A group of around 50 junior engineers also protested against the minister for not giving them appointed letters.

BJP drive

Patna: BJP national general secretary and co-in-charge of the party’s Bihar affairs Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday expressed satisfaction over the ongoing membership drive. BJP MP from Motihari and in-charge of the membership drive Radha Mohan Singh seconded him.

Murder

Chhapra: One Arvind Tiwary, 30, was allegedly killed by his nephew Om Prakash Tiwary late on Sunday night for failing to pay back a loan of Rs 5,000. Sources said Om also attacked and injured his aunt Sushila Kunwar. She has been admitted to Chhapra sadar hospital.

Death

Buxar: A kanwariya was crushed to death by a truck near Nuaon village under the jurisdiction of Krishna Brahna police station on Monday.

Suicide whiff

Motihari: Rajesh Sahay, 32, a practising lawyer in Motihari civil court, allegedly committed suicide at his Bariyarpur residence on Sunday night. No suicide note was found.

Health order

Patna: Health department principal secretary Vyasji on Monday asked the civil surgeons concerned to seek clarifications from doctors going on an unauthorised leave. The government would take administrative action against them after getting a report from civil surgeons within a fortnight.
