With three blockbusters — the two Munnabhai films and 3 Idiots — to his name, Rajkumar Hirani has expectedly turned superstitious.
Even before the first shot has been canned, Hirani has locked the release date for his new project Peekay, starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma. The lucky date he has zeroed in on? December 25, 2013. So what if it’s a Wednesday? After all, 3 Idiots hit screens on December 25, 2009.
Peekay already has a few firsts to its credit. It is going to be the first Hirani film to be shot abroad, with a large schedule in Hungary. Peekay is also the first Rajkumar Hirani production, while all his previous projects were produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
