Imphal, July 24: Manipur Police Sports Club shot to perfection in the .22 open sight standard rifle three position (NR) 50-metre services individual event in the 22nd All Manipur Shooting Competition held at Khuman Lampak shooting range.
Police shooter S. Raju Singh topped the 50-metre open sight standard rifle with 310 points for the gold while compatriots A. Basanta Sharma took the silver and G. Prameshor Sharma the bronze. In the .177 peep sight air rifle 10-metre men’s (novices) individual event, M. Eshwar Raj of Imphal West Rifle Club claimed the gold.
L. Kheroda Devi of Imphal West emerged triumphant winning the gold in the air pistol (NR) championship 10-metre women’s individual event. In the air pistol (ISSF) championship 10-metre men’s individual event, Rk. Selendra Singh of Imphal West Rifle Club walked away with the gold. G. Yaima Sharma of Imphal East Rifle Club clicked his way to the gold in the air pistol (NR) championship 10-metre men’s individual event.
Super division soccer: Athletic Brothers Association drubbed XI Star Sporting Union by 4-1 goals in the Imphal East Super Division League Football Tournament at Khuman Lampak sports complex.
Shooting: The 3rd Kangjam Sorojini Devi Memorial Journalist’s Shooting Competition was inaugurated by Thangmeiband legislator Th. Joykishan Singh at the Khuman Lampak shooting range today.
