Shillong, July 22: A Meghalaya police constable, Banshanbok Kharbuki, was suspended today after he lost his service revolver with six rounds of live ammunition on Tuesday at Sohra stand Iewduh (Burra Bazar) here.
According to police, the constable, under the influence of liquor, fought with a few people. Following the incident, the cop and two other civilians were arrested. Today, a minor from the Cantonment police area, hit by a bullet at his residence, was rushed to a hospital. Later, the police found the missing revolver with five rounds of live ammunition and one empty case. Investigation is on.
