Calcutta: Penn Orji on Wednesday was adjudged East Bengal’s Player of the Year. The midfielder will be presented with the award on the club’s foundation day on August 1. Prasanta Sinha and Santo Mitra will also be honoured with Lifetime Achievement awards.

Meanwhile, Tolgay Ozebe pulled a hamstring in Mohun Bagan’s pre-season training in Durgapur. A scan was done immediately but it revealed no major injury. The Australian is likely to be out for three days.

In another development, Bagan officials had a verbal discussion with IFA officials, requesting them to expedite the decision-making process in the Tolgay issue.
