Firstlook

RETURN FOR REVENGE: That’s Nawazuddin Kahaani Siddiqui’s Faizal Khan in the first-look poster of Gangs of Wasseypur 2. As is evident from the poster, Faizal gains prominence in Wasseypur in Part II, his sole aim being the annihilation of Ramadhir Singh, played by actor-director Tigmanshu Dhulia. With power-hungry lobbyists here, there and everywhere, Wasseypur witnesses more violence and bloodshed, with Faizal set to gain control. To be screened at the Osian film festival, GOW 2 releases on August 8.

THE OLYMPIAN: Guess who has got an invite to the London Olympics along with PM Manmohan Singh? Karan Johar!

The producer-director who is now busy judging TV dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and wrapping up his teen romance Student of the Year, has been invited to join 506 dignitaries at the grand event.

“I am truly excited and humbled,” gushed KJo after receiving the invite which came to him from ‘Visit Britain’, of which he is a brand ambassador.

Though “never too much into sport”, Karan will, in all probability, be present at the opening ceremony on July 27. “The memory of having participated in it, even as a spectator, is going to stay with me for a lifetime. It is London’s big-ticket weekend and I’m not about to miss it for anything in the world.”
