New Delhi,July 12: The country’s exports have declined by about 2 per cent in the first quarter of this fiscal as demand slowed in the western markets. “Overall, my information is... for the quarter of April-June, the decline will definitely be less than two per cent,” commerce and industry minister Anand Sharma told reporters here today. A senior commerce ministry official is expected to release the export figures for June and the first quarter tomorrow.
New Delhi,July 12: The finance ministry today told the mutual fund industry that their demands related to taxation issues could only be taken up in the next budget. “We took stock of the basic concerns of the mutual fund industry. Taxation issues were discussed and we told them it could be taken up only in the next budget in the finance bill,” a senior ministry official said.
