Drop in at Vision 2012, a fashion and lifestyle exhibition organised at Ice Skating Rink, in association with t2. On till July 13 from 10am to 8pm, the exhibition is not just about retail therapy but some girl power too as the stalls are set up by women. Inaugurated on Wednesday by Bengal’s first lady Padmini Narayan and actress Roopa Ganguly, Vision 2012 offers a wide range of products, from junk jewellery to bags and ethnic wear.
What’s more? You can even shop for Raksha Bandhan as an impressive collection of rakhis, traditional aarti plates and gifts for your siblings adorn the shelves. “I loved the stall selling churan, especially the spicy ones. Even the collection of dresses, especially at the stall Aara, is amazing. I hope to come back,” said Roopa, as she picked a bag and a borla (Rajasthani hair accessory) for herself.
“Most of the women who have set up stalls here do not have proper shops, and sell their stuff from their residence. This makes it an exclusive exhibition,” said Asha Maheshwari, general secretary, All India Marwari Mahila Samity, which organised Vision 2012.
