Cancer camp
Sivasagar, July 9: The fifth complimentary cancer treatment camp held at the ONGC’s Sivasagar hospital recently, screened more than 50 heads, taking the total to 298 cancer patients benefiting from the camps held under ONGC’s Project Kiran.
Cholera
n Nalbari: Phulen Roy of Golagaon here died of cholera on Monday. Reports said more than 10 persons were suffering from the disease at Golagaon and Dhanbil villages since the post-flood period.
Inquiry
Guwahati: The Assam Human Rights’ Commission on Monday asked the state government to conduct an inquiry into alleged inflammatory communal remarks made by public health engineering minister Gautam Roy on June 26 at Hailakandi and submit a report to the commission within six weeks.
