Shriyanka bags gold in shooting
Calcutta: Shriyanka Sadangi bagged the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle junior women’s category of the International Junior Shooting championship in Suhl on Thursday with a total score of 500.9 after scoring 398 in the preliminary round. Tejaswini Muley, who was leading after the preliminary round with a score of 399 managed a final score of 100.8 and had to settle for the fourth place with a total score of 499.8.
New Delhi: Taking a cue from the BCCI, Hockey India is set to organise a grand felicitation function for its yesteryear stars who will be paid a one-time benefit from the HI coffers for their contribution to the game. The felicitation-cum-Olympic team send-off ceremony will be held on June 24.

Tapan Memorial Club 136 in 35.1 overs (S. Bhattacharjee 31; S. Ahmed 3/16, S. Lahiri 3/22). Mohun Bagan 139/4 in 23.5 overs (A. Majumdar 50, S Lahiri 41). Mohun Bagan won by 6 wickets.
Kalighat 227/8 in 40 overs (S. Das 53, A. Lahiri 47). Dalhousie Athletic Club 168 in 34 overs (M. Lohar 50; I Saxena 3/13, M. Saxena 3/41). Kalighat won by 59 runs.
