Guwahati, June 11: Oil India Limited (OIL) has bagged the award for being India’s Best Exploration & Production Company in 2010-11.
Union minister of petroleum and natural gas Jaipal Reddy gave away the award to S.K. Srivastava, chairman and managing director of OIL and T.K. Ananthkumar, director (finance) at a function attended by the captains of the petroleum industry in New Delhi yesterday.
OIL, which bagged the award for its performance in exploration and production sector, has been able to increase production of both crude oil and natural gas over the past few years in a sustainable manner, sources said.
