A fashion fair

If you are at Ice Skating Rink any time between 11am and 8pm today and tomorrow, your situation could be that of Rimjhim Mitra’s. The Tolly actress who unveiled Kolkata Fashion Fair — Dhadkan, a fashion and lifestyle exhibition-cum-sale in association with t2, on Tuesday morning just couldn’t get enough of what she saw.

“The collection of jhumkas and jewellery is really good! Some are so pretty that I couldn’t resist picking up a few pairs,” smiled Rimjhim, oozing summery chic in a tangerine playsuit teamed with funky slippers and a cute headband.

The display features exhibitors from across India, showcasing designerwear, bags, saris, jewellery and accessories. Those looking for something for their little ones must stop at Temptation, which has a wide range of Angry Birds accessories.

Not just fashion, there are items for your puja altar too. “I specially liked a Gopal idol which I plan to pick up tomorrow. I will come back with my mother,” chirped Rimjhim.

“Since the first time we organised Kolkata Fashion Fair, our motto has been to help upcoming designers and give them a platform,” said Debashish Chatterjee, programme director, Fayre Media, which has organised the fair. Kolkata Fashion Fair — Dhadkan is on till June 7.
