Student attacked
Jorhat, June 4: A student of upper KG class of Balya Bhawan High School here was attacked today by a monkey inside the school. This is the third incident of a monkey attacking students in the school in the past one month.
Review meet
Jorhat: A meeting under the chairmanship of Jorhat deputy commissioner R.C. Jain was held to review the public distribution system and midday meal schemes at the deputy commissioner’s conference room on Monday.
LPG seized
Sivasagar: A team led by additional deputy commissioner I. Rahman seized 21 LPG cylinders from 10 eateries near Joysagar civil hospital here on Monday.
Bail granted
Guwahati: Gauhati High Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to vice-chairman of Nagaon zila parishad Md Nurul Huda and member Manik Ali till June 7 in a case relating to alleged assault on PAC member Prasanta Phukan in Nagaon. The court also directed the police to produce the case diary by June 7.
