On the cards: Marking the launch of the Blenders Pride Reserve collection, a premium whisky, will be a fashion show by Abhishek Dutta. He will present his summer resort collection featuring western and bridal wear. “While the western wear will be futuristic, the bridals will be more vintage,” says Abhishek.

Doing a star turn will be Yami Gautam of Vicky Donor fame along with a few Tollywood ladies — the names are “under wraps”. “I’ll have something ethnic for Yami as she’s got a very innocent look that goes well with ethnic clothes,” smiled the designer.

The collection: The western wear fashioned out of natural fabrics like linen and cotton will pack in lots of bright colours like neon shades as well as cutwork and appliques. Silhouettes will be flowy with lots of jumpsuits and summery dresses. The ethnic wear will be in tones of white, red and blue. “For me ethnic clothing is never too ethnic. There’s always a hint of fusion and modernity,” adds Abhishek.
