My Take

BEST FRIENDS

My best friend’s name is Joy.

But I say: “Oh Joy! What a boy!”

He likes English grammar,

And wants to be a computer programmer.

One morning he saw a pen,

But it was in the beak of a hen.

He had a beautiful watch, Which he had lost in a yatch.

He likes to keep clean his house,

But he is afraid of mouse.

He brought a new box,

My friend’s as clever as a fox.

He wears a ring on his finger,

And likes to hear songs of classical singers.

He likes to play,

And makes models of clay.

His name is Joy,

But I say: “Oh Joy! What a boy!”

Broken Relation

Oh Mother,

You’re grey and ugly now,

Frail and forlorn,

Wounded and went out the window.

Love and respect for you, mother,

Have deserted your children’s hearts-

Who’re now all cultivated and ripened,

Educated and smart.

Your children enamoured and esteemed you

Once they were babies by body’n brain, I memorise

They used to make you feel on cloud nine,

And were the apples of your eyes.
