Mumbai, May 30: The rupee lost 57 paise today, closing at a new low of 56.24, with the dollar emerging as a safe haven for global investors who are getting restive on fresh Eurozone worries. After opening weak, the rupee soon breached the key 56-mark as the dollar strengthened with reports saying the Bank of Spain expects the nationís economy to sink deeper into a recession.
New Delhi, May 30: Nokia Siemens Networks today said it was selected by Indian Railways for providing wireless communication network to Calcutta Metro. Under the deal, Nokia will give special handsets to train drivers to be in constant contact with all stations.
