Forex kitty

Mumbai, May 26: Foreign exchange reserves have depleted $1.80 billion to $290 billion on the back of a decline in the core currency assets. The reserves had dwindled $1.37 billion to $291.80 billion in the previous reporting week. Foreign currency assets, a major component of the forex reserves, fell $1.74 billion to $256.12 billion for the week ended May 18, the Reserve Bank said.

Calcutta, May 26: Balmer Lawrie has reported a 14 per cent rise in gross income to Rs 2,450 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 against Rs 2,148 crore in the previous year. Profit after tax grew 14 per cent to Rs 138 crore from Rs 121 crore last year.
