New Delhi: Former champions India will have to fight hard to make the semi-finals of the hockey event in the London Olympics.
On Tuesday, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) released the draw for the Olympics, leaving India with top teams like Germany and the Netherlands in pool B. India have never beaten these European sides in the last few years.
The other teams in India’s pool are South Korea, New Zealand and Belgium. The last time India went beyond the group league was in 1980 Moscow Olympics, when they bagged the gold medal.

Pool A: Australia, Great Britain, Spain, Pakistan, Argentina and South Africa
Pool B: Germany, the Netherlands, South Korea, New Zealand, India and Belgium
