MP plea for act
New Delhi, May 22: Bodo MP S.K. Bwiswmuthiary today asked for a Bodo personal law and Bodo marriage act in the Lok Sabha while participating in a discussion on the Anand Marriage (Amendment) Act. He said indigenous people like Bodos also deserve a special act.
One dies
Sivasagar: A businessman, Tuntun Sharma, 30, died and several others were injured, when their bus overturned near Joboka tea estate here on Tuesday morning.

Woman beaten
Nalbari: Residents of Chitkagaon village of Bongaigaon district allegedly beat up Faguni Ray, 52, on Monday night on suspicion that she practised witchcraft.
Explosion
Nagaon: Two wood cutters were injured in a grenade explosion in Lumding reserve forest. Sources said a team of militants attempted to abduct the duo and hurled the grenade when they tried to flee. Both have been admitted to Nagaon civil hospital.
