Three to tango

Lakkhichhara keyboardist Debaditya Chaudhury, better known as Deba, spent Monday afternoon recording with Lopamudra Mitra and Riddhi Bandyopadhyay at Studio Saptak near Mudiali. The keyboardist-cum-restaurateur makes his debut as a music director with Rajesh and Ipshita’s Anubhav, a children’s film. “Lopadi is singing an off-tempo salsa-cum-bossa nova-cum-reggae number, while Riddhi is singing Tagore’s Anandalokey. I’m getting Anupam Roy to do the title track,” said Deba, who has composed six songs for the film. “I have never aspired to be a music director. I was happy playing for Lakkhichhara. The offer landed accidentally when the directors heard me jamming on these songs one day,” added the Xaverian. Picture by Anindya Shankar Ray
