May 16 (PTI): Three Air India pilots who had reported sick resumed duty today in the first sign of an end to the nine-day strike by over international 200 pilots.
The Indian Pilots Guild (IPG), which is spearheading the agitation, said it was open to talks with the government but claimed the trio who returned to work were not its members.
“The strike continues. We don’t want pilots to be martyred,” IPG president Jitendra Ahwad said.
Curtailed services to Europe and North America began today as part of a contingency plan but were not enough to help passengers hit by scores of cancellations over the past few days.
