Apollosana on top

Imphal, May 13: Former champion Rk. Apollosana Singh retained the lead, along with two others, for three points in 17th Y. Nilamani Memorial Open Chess Tournament at Singjamei community hall.

Apollosana defeated N. Herojit Singh to gain full points while Kh. Sanjoy Singh beat N. Bankim Singh. Y. Dhanabir Singh got the better of Th. Udoy Singh for three points. S. Basantkumar Singh managed a draw against S. Premjit Singh to stand at 2.5 points on the third day.
