Guwahati, May 13: Priyana Kalita and Suranjeta Saikia from Assam won double crowns at the AITA talent series tennis tournament that concluded in Patna on May 11.
While Priyana beat Suranjeta in the U-16 girls’ final. Suranjeta drubbed Priyana in the U-18 girls’. In the U-16 doubles, Priyana and Aakansha Das beat Murchana Saharia of Assam and Madhu Jaiswal of Bihar. In the U-18 doubles, Suranjeta and Madhu defeated Aakansha Das and Priyana. Subham Patra and Rahul Mohanty of Assam bagged the runners-up titles in the boys U-16 and U-18 doubles.
