FIR against cops
Patna, May 12: Keoti police in Darbhanga registered an FIR against police officials of Karnataka, who had visited Bihar last week and arrested one Kafil Ahmad on terror charges. The FIR was filed by Mohammed Sallam, father of Kafil.
arbhanga superintendent of police Garima Malik confirmed that the FIR has been registered against Karnataka police officials. She said the state police headquarters in Patna had been informed about the FIR.
Death
Patna: A 22-year-old BA Part-I student of Maharana Pratap College, Ashutosh Kumar Pandey, was found hanging at his rented room at Madan Lal Jain Lane on Saturday.

Patna: A 22-year-old woman, Sangeeta Kumari, suffered slash injuries on her left arm in Hajiganj around 8am.

Patna: A 22-year-old woman, Rakhi, drowned at Bansi Ghat on Saturday.
Arrests
Patna: Two persons were arrested with a haul of fake voter identity cards, seals and scanned signatures of officials from various places in Nalanda on Saturday.

DA hike
Patna: Bihar State Electricity Board on Friday announced that its employees, officers and pensioners, including family pensioners would get an increased seven per cent dearness allowance with effect from January 1, 2012. Board spokesperson H.R. Pandey said employees would get 65 per cent DA instead of 58.
