Calcutta: IPL governing council chairman Rajeev Shukla has said that he’s not aware of any move to shift the eliminator and final from Chennai.
Besides Shukla, two other members of the council, when contacted by The Telegraph, denied any such knowledge.
“As far as I am concerned, there is no such plan to shift the venue,” Shukla said in New Delhi.
Exactly the same thing was said by the two other members.
Earlier in the day, an Agency report said that empty seats, due to lack of official clearance for a few stands, are becoming an eyesore during IPL matches in Chennai and so there was a move within the BCCI to shift the eliminator and the final to an alternate venue.
