Jawan found hanging
Patna: A Sashastra Seema Bal personnel of the 24th battalion, Gambhir Singh Gurjar, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Araria on Tuesday.
ub-divisional police officer Vikar Kumar said the body of 20-year-old Gujur was found hanging from a tree near Durga temple on the battalion campus. A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Bathnaha police station.
Ruckus
Gopalganj: Family members of one Sanju Devi created ruckus on Gapalganj sadar hospital premises on Tuesday following her death after giving birth to a twin.
Arrest
Patna: Bhojpur police on Tuesday nabbed a man who worked as a courier of dreaded Sheru Singh from Ara divisional jail gate and seized several goods, including one laptop, 10 mobile phones and 11 SIM cards.
Extortion case
Patna: The high court on Tuesday stayed proceedings in a police case lodged against a Samastipur lawyer on charges of extortion of money. The bench comprising justice Hemant Kumar Srivastava gave the directive.
Slash attacks
Patna: The “blade man” attacked two persons on Tuesday in Patna City. The first incident occurred in the morning at Fatuha market where 12-year-old Dheeraj Kumar suffered a cut in his arm. The second incident occurred around 12.30pm in Patna City and the victim was identified as Neelam Kumari (15).

Attack
Patna: Amit Kumar, a teacher of Sanskrit department at Patna College was attacked by some non-teaching staff on Tuesday. College sources said Amit was attacked for beating a non-teaching college staff, Jainath.
