Jain stuns Sethi
Himanshu Jain of Andhra Pradesh shocked Geet Sethi on the opening day of the singles event of Kolkata Open National Invitation Snooker Championship on Sunday. Jain won 63-54, 29-64, 23-58, 59-15, 53-32.
Sourav Kothari, Aditya Mehta and Aloke Kumar, however, got off to winning starts. The team of Alok Kumar & Anil Poddar, meanwhile, outplayed local lads — Brijesh Damani and Abhishek Kedia — to win pro-am doubles event.

Loreto Dharamtala ‘B’ and Future Foundation entered the semi-finals of the junior division of the inter-school basketball meet on Sunday. While ‘B’ beat Loreto Dharamtala ‘A’ 19-11, Future Foundation defeated Birla High School 24-16.
