MonaVie, a global leader in health and wellness industry and one of the fastest growing beverage companies in the world, announced the launch of its operations in the Northeast recently. With the entry, the company aims to adopt goal-driven strategies directed towards gaining a principal position by establishing Guwahati as the hub to cater to all seven key markets in the region. Apart from Assam, states such as Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura are also a potential market.

The company distributes products made from blended fruit juice concentrates, freeze-dried acai berry (a high energy berry of a special Amazon palm tree) and puree through a multi-level marketing (MLM) business model.

The Northeast market has witnessed a robust growth in the healthcare sector and given the trend, MonaVie plans to make its high quality and widely popular health and wellness products available to every household in the region. The company had set up an office in Guwahati last year, and already has an established network with 40 per cent of the distributors operating in the Northeast.

“India has showcased a huge potential for the growth and success in the multi-level marketing segment. MonaVie targets a range of five health supplements and drinks towards the health conscious population in the Northeast market. Our antioxidant rich nutritional drink will be channelled through our existing network distributors in the multi-level marketing model,” Randy Larsen, president, Asia Pacific, founder and vice chairman, MonaVie said at the Guwahati launch.

“MonaVie is one of the few companies that have invested over $200 million towards research and development and our products are tested across 32 countries in the world. We have already crossed the 1 lakh mark in terms of distributors in India and we are open to potential distributors in the Northeast adding value to MonaVie,” Larsen added. To start with, MonaVie has introduced five key products, rich in antioxidants and healthy formulas to enhance the health and energy levels of every customer, in the region’s market. They are MonaVie Essential, MonaVie Pulse, MonaVie (M)mun, MonaVie EMV and MonaVie RVL Nutrition Shake Mix.

Raj Lingam, president, South East Asia, MonaVie, said, “MonaVie, being a global player, follows a very principled, ethical and process driven approach when networking with its distributors as well as customers. Guwahati’s healthcare market having evolved through the years will prove to be a tremendous opportunity for us to start our operations in eastern India with a huge success.”
