Shillong, May 4: The Shillong bench of Gauhati High Court today asked the Justice (retd) S.P. Rajkhowa judicial commission to get the forensic report of the pellets recovered from the body of slain mastermind of the Shillong jailbreak of 2009, Fullmoon Dhar.
On May 31, 2009, seven undertrial prisoners led by Dhar escaped from Shillong jail.
The next day, Dhar was killed in an alleged fake encounter and others were re-captured.
During the course of hearing, a petition was filed by Agnes Kharshiing, the convener of the Steering Committee Against Murder of Democracy (SCAMoD), in the court to direct the commission to examine more witnesses.
Though the Shillong bench heard the case again on April 5, the verdict was reserved today.
