Imphal, April 22: Lizard Club Wangkhei held Posterior Hockey Academy Manipur to a 1-1 goal draw in the 1st State-Level Under-18 Boys Hockey Tournament at Khuman Lampak hockey stadium today.
K. Boy broke the deadlock from a penalty corner conversion in the 57th minute and Posterior Academy equalised immediately after as A. Krishnand struck the equaliser in the 58th minute.
In the other match, All Moirang Hockey Association thrashed South Eastern Youth Organisation by 4-1 goals.
All-Moirang scored the opening goal in the sixth minute through M. Sanjoymani Singh.
M. Dinesh Singh consolidated in the 11th minute.
All-Moirang increased the lead with M. Dinesh Singh scoring his second goal in the 38th minute. South Eastern scored their lone goal through Ksh. Rakesh in the 40th minute.
However, H. Rojeshkumar had already struck the winning goal for All-Moirang in the 53rd minute.
Challenge Cup: Football Veteran Welfare Association had a solitary-goal win against Veteran Sports Association of Imphal in the 14th Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung. Rajen Khanganba struck the winning goal.
All Thangmeiband Veteran Football Association rode P. Surchand’s lone goal to beat Football Lovers Association Manipur.
MCA cricket: Priyojit Singh’s three-wicket haul and 27 runs helped Tiddim Road Athletic Union beat Yaiskul Athletic Union by seven wickets in the MCA Classification Tournament at Luwangpokpa cricket ground.
Tiddim all-rounder Priyojit Singh bagged the Man of the Match award.
