Global scholar
Anabila Deb, a Plus II student of Delhi Public School, Guwahati has been selected to serve as a global scholar representing India at the Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC), USA from June 11 to 20. This is a unique leadership development programme for secondary school students around the world who have demonstrated leadership potential and scholastic merit.
Research centre
Assam University, Silchar has started a centre dedicated to conservation and research on wildlife named Assam University Centre for Wildlife Research and Conservation. The centre was formally inaugurated on March 17 by vice-chancellor Tapodhir Bhattacharjee.
