Sandhu rises to tied 4th
Siem Reap: A flawless four-under 68 with three birdies in last six holes saw Ajeetesh Sandhu move up to tied fourth from tied 10th, at the halfway stage on an otherwise disappointing day for the Indians at the Handa Faldo Cambodian Classic here on Thursday.
Sandhu is now seven-under 137 and four behind joint leaders, Thailand’s Chinnarat Phadungsil (64) and Korean Kim Hyung-sung (65). Things were not so good for the other four Indians — Shiv Kapur, Firoz Ali, Himmat Rai and Sujjan Singh — all of whom missed the cut.
Mission Hills: Angad Cheema carded an eventful 71 which included five birdies and four bogeys in the second round to move into the tied seventh overall at the end of the second day of the Faldo Series Asia Grand final on Thursday. Cheema, is second in the under-21 category but seventh overall.
