Inflation rises

New Delhi, March 14: The rate of inflation, after declining for five months, inched up to 6.95 per cent in February on costlier pulses and vegetables. Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, however, took comfort from the marginal decline in the rate of price rise of manufactured goods and expressed hope that inflation might soften to 6.5 per cent by March.

New Delhi/Hyderabad, March 14: Kingfisher Airlines is curtailing its overseas flights to avoid losses even as the DGCA pulled up the carrier for regular cancellations. Meanwhile, Boeing has agreed to pay $500 million as compensation to Air India for delaying the delivery of Dreamliner aircraft.
